Crankbait Redfish and Bass

Me and Nate launched from Schwartz on Rabbit creek this past Sunday hoping to land a few bass and ended up catching some slot reds, as well as several decent bass.

I've been working crankbaits like their going out of style for the past month or so, and they've been producing some great catches. We both threw 100 series Bandit crankbaits from around 11am to 3pm.

For the most part, I've had better luck racing these cranks back in (very fast retrieve), but for whatever reason on this day they were hitting on a much slower/medium retrieve. We caught 16" and 18" reds, a few smaller bass, and one token small speckled trout in Rabbit Creek. Shortly after lunch we moved into Rattlesnake where we found more small bass, with a couple nice ones. Great day to be on the water!
